Darline Graham Calls Dr. Annie Andrews “the Most Radical Liberal Ever Nominated” for Statewide Office in South Carolina

GOP: Darline Graham

Graham Labels Andrews the “Most Radical Liberal Ever Nominated"

After winning South Carolina’s Republican U.S. Senate primary runoff, Sen. Darline Graham immediately turned her attention to Democratic nominee Dr. Annie Andrews, calling her “the most radical liberal ever nominated” for statewide office by the South Carolina Democratic Party and comparing her views to Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Andrews Answers Attacks With Experience and Policy Priorities

Dr. Annie Andrews responded that South Carolinians should “expect more” from a U.S. senator, saying the Senate is “not a place for on-the-job learning.” Graham entered the Senate without prior elected or legislative experience. Andrews’ platform focuses on affordability, healthcare, strong schools, reproductive freedom, fighting political corruption, public safety, infrastructure, and economic opportunity. What exactly is “radical” about lowering costs, improving healthcare, strengthening schools, and fighting corruption?

About

SC GOP Tracker keeps tabs on what South Carolina Republican elected officials, candidates and political leaders are saying, doing and putting on the record.

We gather publicly available statements, votes, policy positions, interviews, social media posts, news coverage and other source material, then bring it together in one place with relevant context.

Each Tracker Entry is built to be clear, easy to follow and easy to verify — with links to the original reporting, public records, video, social posts or other supporting sources whenever possible.

The idea is simple: you shouldn’t have to dig through dozens of websites, news stories and social media feeds to keep up with what South Carolina Republicans are saying and doing.

As new statements, votes, policies and developments emerge, SC GOP Tracker will keep adding to the record.
